Liebster Incoming :D

Friday, November 22, 2013 By 16 comments

Yuhun…! Here I’m with a Liebster award nomination. Yes, you read it right! I’m not totally retarded, I actually do some stuffs. :P
Check out the nomination here. J

So, how did it happen? Is it the question in your mind? Still, read it :D

One fine day I logged into my Facebook account and found myself tagged to one of the posts by Sreesha Divakaran. She is a new found blogger-cum-friend who is also a brilliant astrologer. Astrologer because she came to know that I was craving for 1 damn nomination for the Liebster award. Ain’t greedy, everybody loves fame! :’)

Check out her world which is full of music, monsoon and fun (Sorry Sreesha, couldn’t come up with a better line :P ) here: Petrichor and Clouds J

Pardon me, almost forgot that most people aren’t aware about the Liebster award. So, for them, here is the answer:

The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. So, what is a Liebster?  The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Isn't that sweet? Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.

And these are the rules to be followed:
·                     Each nominee must thank and link back the person who nominated them.
·                     Answer the 10 questions given to you by the nominator.
·                     Nominate 10 other bloggers for this award who have less than 200 followers.
·                     Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
·                     Let the nominees know that they have been nominated by going to their blog and notifying them.

It's completely optional to accept the award. If you want you accept it, answer the questions and nominate others. The question/answer phase is one of the most exciting parts about these awards. J

Below are the answers to Sreesha’s questions:

1. List 10 facts about yourself!
Laholbilakubat! 10 facts about myself, this will definitely include some very lame answers. Anyway, the 10 facts about me are:
i.             I’m an Engineering student who is a dreamer except for when he is sleeping. :P
ii.           I’m a social worker at K.A.S.H.T.I. We educate slum-kids on a weekly basis. Feels good J
iii.         I’m single i.e with no siblings. It answers the relationship status as well. :D
iv.          I’m a dancer and singer as well J
v.            Considering the fact that am an Engineering student, so being hungry is natural. :P
vi.          I’m committed to Internet truly, madly and deeply. :P
vii.        I’m not always sarcastic. I sleep plus attend the viva rounds as well :D
viii.       I love Blogging. See the consequence of it; we are finally in touch. Hurray :D
ix.          I’m a master of procrastination. :P
x.            I love playing football and watching cricket.

2. If you had to choose only one out of the following, which one would you   choose and why: Books, Travelling, Music, Sports, Video Games, Movies, Food.
Food. Simply because I wanna gain weight. -_-
#DilSeBolaHeEkDum :P

3. Holiday Destination: Would you choose a place with: Beaches, Lakes, Mountains, Dessert or Plain/Fields? Why?
Beaches of course, as, water has a literal connection with me. Varun- The GOD of water :D

4. Which of the following best describes your personality while you were in school/college: Nerd, Class Clown, Hottie, Friend-to-all, Introvert!
A class-clown who was friend-to-all. J

         5. If you could go on a date with a celebrity, who would you choose?
Sreesha Divakaran  it is ;)

6.   What's your favorite genre of music?
Rock. Although, I love sufi and soft songs as well. J

7.   What's the most insane thing that you have ever done in your life till date?
I accidently went inside a girl’s toilet in class 11th. You can read all about it, here: What the Fudge. :D

8.   If you could relive (and/or change) one day of your life, which one would it be?
Why to live the past when the present is so damn gorgeous? ;)

9.   If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change?
My habit of procrastination. I hate it like anything. -_-  Any tips to overcome it?

10.       School or College? Which one is/was better? Why?
This is a difficult question as I find both of them the same. No liberty. But, then considering some points, will vote for the college. J

It’s question time. These are the questions for the nominees:
Ø  Which food you can eat every day for the rest of your life? Just 1.
Ø  Your all time favorite movies? Name just 5 of them. :P
Ø  Are you single? :D
Ø  Best day of your life (till date)?
Ø  Do you speak any other languages?
Ø  What would you wish for if 3 wishes were granted to you by a genie? :D
Ø  What quality do you find most attractive in others?
Ø  The most embarrassing moment in your life?
Ø  Are you a vegie or non-vegie?
Ø  If you could be somebody else, who would like to be?

Brace yourself, here are the nominees:

I will be patiently waiting for your answers :)

24 YEARS ON 22 YARDS- A Tribute to the legend, SIR SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR

Saturday, November 16, 2013 By 6 comments

The person I’m referring here, needs no formal introductions. You might not be aware who your neighbor is but you certainly know this legend, Sir Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. And indeed, this article is a tribute to his 24 years of service to the nation.

Well, the words might just not be enough to show gratitude, shower respect and praise his achievements. Thus, have collected his blissful moments, never ending records  and some unforgettable memories which you can see below:

Memories :')

Magical Career

The Last Day

Here is a video of his FINAL speech which literally welled up my eyes. Actually, I did cry a little.  #NoShameToAccept

In the end, I will just conclude saying that Sachin was just not cricket to India. He had bigger importance than many other people in our country. And literally, I’m proud to say that I grew up in the era of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and was highly lucky to see him play. Perhaps, the upcoming generation will never know how much this man meant to the nation!

Plus, Sachin Tendulkar is the youngest and only sportsperson to win Bharat Ratna award. So you see, it is a brilliant start to his new innings. J

I found these belongings of my childhood days while cleaning up my room this Diwali. It brought back reminiscences of the past. Plus, I also understood that it isn’t that bad to frequently clean up your room. Sorry ‘dust’ but you got to find some other residence now. :D

My Piggy Bank which is more like a Telephone Booth :P

Pokemon cards :') I was a crazy fan of it that time :P

Some of the comics. Although, I also had  ample of Chacha Chowdhery, Billu and other Raj comics but sadly they went missing meanwhile growing elder :P

Those were the days of REALLY ENTERTAINING WWE fights :')

We used to get these cards with some chocolate (of Cadbury) that time. Naam yaad nhi he :D

This is little awkward to disclose but I was a die hard fan of almost every pen in those days :') I still have their dead bodies :D
Truly, happiness is... recalling the sweet-old-days of childhood :')

Do watch this video. You will love it :)

THE LIEBSTER AWARD

Friday, November 08, 2013 By 14 comments

I was checking some of the blogs one day and found this very enticing award being given to one of the fellow blogger. I was happy for him. But since the word ‘award’ itself is enough to raise the curiosity in any individual, so I happened to check on the details of the title which are as follows:

‘The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. So, what is a Liebster?  The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Isn't that sweet? Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.’

When I finished reading the above para I thought, I’m a perfect person to be ‘nominated’, yes, at least nominated for this award. But having found no such good news till now, ‘dil pe lag gyikasam se!

Anyway, I know am being a sadist and that after putting this post on my blog, a few of the nominations will definitely pop-up in order to cheer me! But hey, I don’t want anything as a charity. For me, being worthy of something is far more important than getting a reward in return. Trust me.

I know, there are A LOT OF PEOPLE who are far more deserving, so I’m not sad at all. It’s ok, it’s fine. As it is said ‘if you deserve something, it comes to you at the right time’. J
